Caleb writes poetry, fiction, and essays on nature, design, and the human experience. His work has appeared in Orion Magazine, Paperbark Literary Magazine, Rotman Magazine, and Mr. Wolf Magazine, and he writes the Moody Places Newsletter. His work has been supported by the Orion Magazine Environmental Writers Workshop, the Cuttyhunk Writers Residency, and Niall Williams’ Storytelling Workshop in County Clare, Ireland.

In 2008, he started and designed a co-working office space with one of his best friends in their hometown that continues to operate to this day. He has worked at the intersection of rural economic development, natural resource management, ecosystem conservation, and collaborative conflict resolution with diverse groups of stakeholders in Western Massachusetts, Eastern Oregon, and the interior West. Since 2012, he has advised business and non-profit leaders, has facilitated a range of multi-stakeholder groups and creative teams, and has taught design and entrepreneurship at the college and graduate school levels. Since 2014, he has supported his wife’s leadership of her family’s natural products retail business in Cambridge, MA. He studied Environmental Design, International Relations, and Business and Systems Design. In 2026, he founded Moody Places Media, an evolving constellation of multimedia projects and experiences created with the intent to connect art, story, spirit, and place.

Caleb grew up on a hill in western Massachusetts and an island in the Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island.
